Cycling New Zealand through Tour Aotearoa

Hello there I have 30 days off and I’m thinking to cycle New Zealand on January and through Tour Aotearoa from Cape Reinga to Bluff and I know the weather will be like 24 - 16 so what is your suggestion for me ?

If this is a supported tour

If this is a supported tour and you only want to do the distance then maybe its ok? - 30 days to ride 2000km seems achievable on paper but you will be riding almost everyday and not being able to do anything else at all.

For most cycle tourers, this

For most cycle tourers, this is a rather optimistic route for the time you have. If you want to see the countryside and appreciate the scenery, try to cycle only one island and take to enjoy the journey. Be aware that the route is designed for mountainbike cycling with lots of unsealed or singletrack riding. May not be suitable for many people on a road tourer or you will need offroad tyres for many of the sections for easier bike handling. The route is not designed for seeing many of the sights you may want to see in NZ but as a route to cycle the length of NZ incorporating a lot of offroad riding.
